Core Program
Our Core Program begins with you. You have a lifestyle, you have eating habits, you have likes and dislikes: these things are part of who you are, and your nutritionist must take these into account in order to help you develop a sustainable and effective nutrition plan. Our approach to sustainable nutrition is simple: we ease you into better health by identifying the small changes that can lead to big results. Our Core Program is just what you need to get healthy, because it’s built around you.
Here’s how it works:
Initial Visit
Before your first session, Shellee will ask you to fill out a questionnaire and to start keeping a food journal for at least three days. On your first visit you and Shellee will discuss your journal and questionnaire as well as your fitness and nutrition goals. She’ll measure your key nutrition indicators: weight, body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage, skeletal muscle percentage, visceral fat level and resting metabolism in order to get a full picture of your current situation. She will also discuss with you key nutrition concepts such as portion control and food combining.
Second Visit
After reviewing your food journal, Shellee will talk with about your current exercise habits, energy levels, sleep patterns, and emotional state to get a better picture of how your nutrition might be affecting your overall well-being. With this information, Shellee will help you formulate your new fitness and nutrition plan, including a shopping list, and will offer you practical advice on how to stick to it.
Week 3 – 6 Program Monitoring
So how is it working? Shellee will meet with you between three and six weeks after you put your plan into action to help you evaluate the results. She’ll review your food journal, talk with you about how your fitness regime is working out, and recheck your nutrition indicators. If necessary, she’ll advise you on any minor adjustments you might need to make to get you the results you’re looking for.
